Duke Power Rates to Decrease in December
A series of required price adjustments will see the average North Carolina residential customer of Duke Energy Progress saving a little less than $4 a month starting in December.
But some of that decrease will be short-lived. On Jan. 1, Duke Progress will implement another increase to cover the costs of programs to reduce energy consumption. That will add $1.95 to a typical customer’s bill which will bring the typical monthly savings after December on an average bill down to about $1.72.
